Big news!
I keep threatening to move to Movable Type, especially now that version 2.6 is out, but I learned last night that Pyra (makes of Blogger) just got bought by Google. That will mean more servers, staff, and resources. Perhaps a good reason to hang on to Blogger. Have you noticed recently that a majority of search hits on Google tend to come up with weblogs? Mostly because weblogs are so prevalent on the web these days. That works to my advantage sometimes, because often the information I'm looking for is based on other people's experiences (like my Playstation problem... Sony would never document that). We had Salon blogs, but Salon is about dead. Just think, Google blogs... Bloogle! I wonder how many things Google can get it's hands into at once before it hits a threshhold, or becomes too good to be true? Funny... Ev mentioned the news on his weblog but not on the front of Blogger yet. Comments
