Walmart has filed suit against Re-code.com for listing Walmart bar codes with reduced prices for printing. Their site has a disclaimer saying the site is only a parody, but Walmart is not amused. I was :P
Posted by kim at April 13, 2003 02:59 AM | TrackBackHello, People can just walk into walmart and buy something for 99 cents, photocopy the upc to a mailing label and then go back to get what they want, it dosent take a website listing to get the codes. Even the codes at K mart, and all department stores are identical when you select the same size and type. On top of that there is a program called Bar Code Pro that allows you to make your own codes......Remember, The "U" stands for universal. Why should Re-Code take the heat over this?
