I did almost perfect on the US (I always mix up some of those western states), but forget about most other countries.

I just finished Pattern Recognition a week ago. Not the same as Gibson's prior work, but very good. It seems as if Gibson is taking a break from his usual brand of science fiction. Pattern Recognition seemed to me to be almost a mystery.
I don't want to give anything away here, but I really saw a reference to one of his earlier works - The Difference Engine. -Qa
