The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film was put on indefinite hold when author Douglas Adams died of a heart attack in 2001. The film has secured director duo Hammer and Tongs. Also, there has been much momentum with Spyglass Pictures. I wonder how many more years we will have to wait.

Hammer and Tongs are primarily known for making music videos - albeit good ones. Usually involving cutesy puppets - like Blur's Coffee and Tee and Pumping On Your Stereo by Supergrass.
How they go from that to making an allegedly huge film like HHGTTG I don't know. Still, if they do make it it'll be quirky, anarchic and quite possibly zany.
