The weekend...

Sarah was house sitting for my 4th grade teacher, so I took "Gangs of New York" over Thursday and we played with the puppies. Mrs. T. has a little Japanese snowball dog who just *loves* to cuddle. She fell asleep on my chest all curled up, as I lay on the couch :) Portia, Sarah's dog, wanted to make friends, but shes about 4x as big as the little dog so it didn't work out so well.

Family picnic on the 4th... of course I spent most of the time playing with the kids and the dogs. Yaya (the cocker) wasn't a big fan of the new puppy :( This is probably the first year since 9th grade I haven't gone somewhere to see fireworks. My mum and I instead watched a PBS special called "Pittsburgh A to Z".

Theta Chi party at my alma mater last night... I'm fairly certain I was the only sober one there. I really didn't want to crash there, and besides, I'd taken some medicine that shouldn't be mixed with alcohol. It was fun till everyone started passing out. This is the first time I've ever stuck around for "Yo-Ho" and I'm still not quite sure why it's such a big deal. Was great to see some old friends though.

Also, my mum rocks because she made chicken pot pie and rhubard pie. Just so you all know :)
