Firefox2
Yes, I know... I've been scarce. I'm considering ditching the whole weblog thing. In fact, I'm moving servers, and I'm not sure I want to deal with a Movable Type import again. So I may end up with a plain front page pointing to my Flickr, del.icio.us, Bloglines feeds, and Livejournal. We'll see. I upgraded to Firefox2. First thing I didn't like was the close button on each tab. This seems to be a common complaint, but here's how to change it back. Load about:config in the address bar, then change browser.tabs.closeButtons to 3. Yay! (This should totally be an option in the ui menus) I do love that Session Saver is now integrated, since I have a bad habit of leaving many many tabs open to read later. Unfortunately, it's not a default, so you need to choose the behavior for when Firefox starts, under Options->Main. Comments
Nice tip, thanks! Glad I don't have to go downloading dozens of themes looking for a way to restore it. The integrated spell check has been awesome for blogging. Doesn't help with grammar or logic, but it's a start. Posted by: Dave Zatz at October 24, 2006 02:27 PM |
