Why Women Don't Care About HDTV: This article makes me feel a little violent. But maybe I'm just offended by the idea that I have to belong to one club or the other (geek girls or girly girls). I can own my Coach bag and HDTV at the same time, dammit. I sincerely hope the article was written as satire :)

In other words, you can't be a girl AND be aware of the current state of technology? It wasn't that many years ago that females who owned computers were rare (and the ones who uses online services such as BBSes and the Internet were even rarer), but now its mainstream. Eventually, everyone will own a HDTV, so it won't matter if you're "geeky" or not.

Kimmie and a few other notable females are exceptions to the rule (Kimmie was a BBS user on my BBS back in the early 90s). But these days girls on the computer are the norm. It wasn't back then.
