I'm watching Veronica Mars and the show's description and title refers to the "morning after pill", while they mention RU-486 about 30x in the episode; This is incredibly misleading. This week's "mystery" is that someone slipped RU-486 to a pregnant girl, and she miscarried. The morning after pill doesn't have any effect if taken after you're been impregnated. From everything I've read, you'd know if you took ru-486, and it's a three pill dose, not one. You wouldn't go to a doctor because of a rash that turns out to be an allergy to the abortion pill. Abortion Pill/RU-486 != Morning After Pill When will the public quit being so misinformed? In fact, you'd think the show's writers would have done some research into their subject matter. WTF? Funny you should know so much about it! |
